Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, where a private vehicle and our representative/driver will be waiting with a placard for a warm welcome. Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is the cultural, historical, and economic center of the country, home to a multiethnic population with a Hindu and Buddhist majority.
Transfer to your hotel and check in. The rest of the evening is free for leisure. You can explore local markets, try your luck at casinos, or enjoy a traditional Nepali folk dance performance.
After breakfast, embark on a spiritual journey to some of Kathmandu’s most significant heritage sites.
Pashupatinath Temple: One of the oldest Hindu temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the Nepalese Pagoda style, the temple has four silver-covered doors, and only four priests are allowed to touch the main idol. The temple is also known for its sacred cremation rituals, where devotees witness the spiritual cycle of life and rebirth.
Boudhanath Stupa: Standing over 120 feet tall, it is one of the largest stupas in Asia and a major center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. The iconic Buddha eyes on each side symbolize awareness and wisdom, watching over humanity.
After sightseeing, return to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
After breakfast, continue your exploration of Kathmandu Valley with visits to Patan City and Swayambhunath Stupa.
Patan City (Lalitpur): Known as “The Beautiful City,” Patan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its intricate temples and palaces. Visit the Ashoka Stupa, adorned with the Buddha’s painted eyes, and the Mahabuddha Temple, home to a thousand Buddha terracotta images.
Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple): A stunning hilltop stupa, Swayambhunath is one of the oldest religious sites in Nepal. The white dome symbolizes Earth, while the 13-tiered golden spire represents the 13 steps to enlightenment (nirvana). The site offers a panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley and is home to playful monkeys.
After sightseeing, return to your hotel for relaxation or optional activities.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Kathmandu and drive to Nagarkot, a scenic hill station at an altitude of 2,175 meters.
Nagarkot is renowned for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas, including Mount Everest on clear days. The area is surrounded by lush greenery and offers peaceful walking trails. Nature lovers will enjoy the region’s diverse flora, fauna, and butterfly species.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the serene mountain atmosphere. The evening is free to relax and take in the mesmerizing Himalayan panorama.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure.
